My young friend JG texted me a funny story this morning: he just went to Aldi’s and got there 20 minutes before it opened. A crowd of women waited outside, he was the only man. His mom had asked him to pick up a package of Halloween Need Ohs, which are squishy fidget toys. The ladies jammed in first, grabbed them, and yelling “we got them all!,” as they left him empty handed , avec rien, mit zilch, nada; he did not get a single one. He’s laughing about it, but it’s disappointing. He laughed at my labels of them as shopaholics and retail maniacs
Reminds me of the old Cabbage Patch dolls days for A and me. Then threes the old 1996 Schwarzenegger and Sinbad movie, Jingle All the Way.
